Revolutionizing Long-Endurance Flight: The T-FC100 Tethered Power System for DJI FlyCart 100

The T-FC100N and T-FC100S tethered power systems from Foxtech are purpose-built to redefine the endurance performance of the DJI FlyCart 100 heavy-lift industrial drone. By supplying regulated high-voltage power from a ground station through a robust tether cable, these tethered solutions eliminate traditional battery limitations and enable extended, stable hovering for persistent missions.


Continuous Power for Persistent Operations

At the heart of the T-FC100 system is its ability to deliver continuous power from ground to air. Instead of relying on onboard batteries, which limit flight time, the tethered system connects the FlyCart 100 to an external AC input (380 V three-phase grid or compatible generator). This design allows the drone to remain airborne for six hours or more without interruption, making it ideal for long-duration tasks such as scientific monitoring, aerial relay deployment, event standby, and nighttime operations.

With a maximum tether length of up to 220 meters, users can deploy the FlyCart 100 in flexible vertical workspaces while maintaining reliable power delivery and cable management support.

Two Powerful Models: T-FC100N and T-FC100S

Foxtech offers two configurations tailored to different power demands:

  • T-FC100N: Provides a 30 kW rated power output from the ground station and 20 kW onboard power to the aircraft.

  • T-FC100S: Upgrades to a 40 kW rated ground station output and 25 kW onboard power, offering even greater endurance and capability for demanding payload tasks.

Both models maintain high power quality, featuring regulated output with ±1 % voltage fluctuation and ≥96 % conversion efficiency for dependable performance throughout long missions.


Robust Design for Field Reliability

Operational reliability is critical in industrial and emergency environments, and the T-FC100 system delivers with a host of protective and performance-enhancing features:

  • Stable cable handling: Adjustable reeling speed from 0 to 2 m/s enables smooth deployment and retrieval.

  • High-strength tether cable: Designed for durability with a ≥300 kg breaking strength and more than 1,000 reeling cycles.

  • Multi-layer protection: IP65-rated onboard modules include safeguards against over/under-voltage, over-current, short circuits, and overheating.

  • Rapid deployment: A complete setup can be operational in under 10 minutes, minimizing downtime in field operations.

The included components—tether station with cable, onboard power module in a native battery form factor, and a 380 V AC input cable—ensure a complete solution ready for various mission types.
